This year’s Regional U13/U15
Sportshall final was contested at Robin Park Wigan between Lancashire,
Cheshire, Merseyside, Cumbria and Greater Manchester.
BWFAC was well represented in three out of the four age groups
and supplied three Team Captains - U13G Rebecca Todd, U13B Finn Walker and U15B
Jamie Thompson 
.
This was a great honour indeed for the club.
Thanks to some exceptional
performances under intense competitive pressure our athletes claimed a total of
five bronze medals - Ashley Hails 
and Alicia Roylance 
in the Speed Bounce, Rebecca Todd in the Shot
with a PB (and new BWFAC record) of 8.69m and Dominic Broughton 
in the Standing Triple Jump and 4-lap race.
Dominic narrowly missed out on being
overall Athlete of the Day, his combined point’s total making him a very worthy
runner up.
U15B Adam Snape, Speed
Bounce, and U13B David Jones 
,
Standing Triple Jump, were rewarded with gold medals for their sterling
efforts.
Lancashire were very unlucky
on the day to finish runners up in U13B, U13G and U15G. However with a
seven-point advantage from the U15B, our team won the day and now take their
place in the National Finals at the NEC in Birmingham on Sunday 22nd March.
