UK School Games 2009

The UK School Games is a ten-sport event for teams representing the nine regions of England, Northern Ireland, Scotland and Wales (the United Kingdom). This year’s competition is in Cardiff on 3rd – 6th September, with athletics being held in Cardiff's International Sports Stadium.

The four day competition provides an environment designed to replicate the feel of a major sporting event such as the Olympic Games, Paralympic Games and Commonwealth Games.

For athletics, selection is restricted to U17M and U17W and is based on results in Home Country Schools Championships, Power of 10 rankings and other major championships.
