From the report on the Rossendale Harriers website: "Well, what a wash out. I think most people would have benefitted from a pair of flippers and mainly paddled around the course; need I say more. At least it seemed to be the same in Beijing! A huge thanks to all the marshals, helpers etc without whom of course we would not be able to host these events, if you think you were wet then they were cold and wet. Fantastic turnout, a record entry since Nick re-instated the race in 2002. We obviously need to consider the start times as some people finished in the dark, our apologies - well done for completing; one entrant took one look at the rain and didn't start at all.
